Most people in Suffolk now receive a kerbside collection service for some recyclable materials, whether it is a wheeled bin, crate or bag, Your borough or district council (the one you pay your council tax to) provides this service. Please contact them if you have enquires concerning bins or their collection. See Local Services contacts.
Borough and district councils provide a collection service for bulky items such as sofas, beds and white goods such as fridges, freezers and washing machines. Contact your council for enquires to remove large items from your premises. Depending on which council you belong to, a fee may be charged for the service. White goods and most bulky items are accepted at any of the 18 Household Waste and Recycling Centres in the county, free of charge.
