What is a 'bring' site / recycling bank? It is a container or a series of containers provided by your local District/Borough council for you to recycle specific waste materials (e.g. paper and glass). These tend to be located in convenient places in the local community such as supermarkets, schools or pubs. They are particularly handy if you do not receive a kerbside recycling collection service, or if you do - for those recyclable materials that can’t be collected via a kerbside scheme (e.g. textiles and glass). In Suffolk there are over 1000 recycling banks for a wide range of materials including glass, textiles, paper, cans, tins and books. Full details of recycling bank locations can be supplied by your local District/ Borough council or using the bank locator at www.recycle-more.co.uk. It’s easy to Sort it at recycling banks.
With glass banks please remember to:
With textile banks please:
With can & tin banks please:
If the recycling banks are full, please do not leave recyclables on the ground. Report this to your District/Borough council, and either take them home and visit the recycling bank another day, or visit an alternative recycling centre.
